I just used AdBlock in Chrome to block Deadspin and Jezebel from my menu bar on Jalopnik, Gizmodo, Lifehacker and Kotaku, and Kinja Blocker to block posts from Kinja! (aka kinjaroundup). Life is much better now.

Yeah I keep ads on the FP because I don’t want OPPO to go away but just use ad block to get rid of cross posts.

Thanks for the update, sport.

Getting an adblocker is probably the best internet based decision of my life. So many sites are more interested in serving ads as opposed to serving content.

So what you’re saying is, you still get the Adam & Eve purple-dildo-in-a-tree ad? Heh.

That is like all the interesting sites though.

No. They’ve stopped showing that one fortunately.

I just took my Adblock off until they stop being memory intensive... Slightly. Either that, or when I want to support the youtubers I subscribe to.

Ads is not so much the problem IMO, it’s the ad network malware.

Did you just use the element picker? UBlock Origin didn’t get rid of it permanently, reload it came right back. I want to get rid of Gizmodo too .

Ublock Origin, try it.

Meh, I’m keeping Deadspin because basketball takes (WHEN WILL IT START PLEASE TELL ME WHEN) and Jezebel because I’m not grey there.

Just put uBlock on for the same because of your post. Thanks!

I used the right click menu for AdBlock > Block an ad on this page. I was able to adjust the settings so it blocks the menu items for Jezebel and Deadspin on all Kinja sites, period.

Yeah I tried that, it did work partially. Seems like some of the links are dynamic, so it sometimes still show it.
